Hello AMIC,
Dr. Liu (Amy) Zhou, a Senior Scientist at Silatronix and UW honorary associate, helped us kick off our Lunch with Industry Seminar Series this Wednesday! During her presentation, Amy spoke about the company’s UW spinoff history, business development journey, several innovative ways her chemists have addressed their product development challenges, and Silatronix’s current hiring needs. Specifically, Amy showed great appreciation of the company’s AMIC membership, which provides easy access to our WCNT share facilities, which she regularly uses for their sample analysis. The interactive Q/A session about high-tech start-up business development, production safety policy, and UWCOE collaboration was fun and energetic!
The successful hybrid seminar attracted nearly 30 in-person and online participants, providing a tremendous industrial engagement experience to our AMIC members, faculty, and students.
